The Victoria Marathon and the Future
So the time was not what I wanted but the win was a good enough consolation. With the limited amount of training I have had and the long layoff with an injury before that I am not as upset with the time as I was right after the race. Training has gone well and this, I guess, I can just file under a good long tempo.
I am feeling good and back to running. I have no serious soreness and I am ready to get back to training. I am going to shift the focus a little right now from long races to shorter distances. Working on some speed and keeping the mileage lower through the winter months. This will help as the winter months are probably the most difficult months for me to train through. When this is done I will move back into marathon preparations for a spring marathon. So a good long build up now getting the legs and mind used to quicker paces and then moving to the longer stuff later in the season.
Next up on the schedule is BC Cross and then Haney to Harrison.
