Latest Chris Kelsall Flo Track Interview with me on the Stanford 10 km.
13 hours to go
It is 10 am and I have ate breakfast and now I am sitting in the hotel relaxing and I still have just under 13 hours till race time. It is sunny and warm here. The plan is to do a shake out run in a bit, then try to kill as much time as possible before the race. There was talk of a movie, I am sure a nap will be in the cards, some worrying for sure and there is a gentlemens club just across the...
Looks like I am confirmed for the 10:45 pm 10 km heat scheduled for this Friday, that is going to be a long day. I fly out to San Francisco tomorrow, race Friday and head back Saturday. I am ready and fit and looking to run a personal best. Here is a Video of my first run back from my injury that bothered me most of 2008. It was rough and I know I ran too far and too quick for my first...
3 DAYS TO GO
This week has been an easy/ taper week; I ran a medium long 15 mile run this past Thursday took it easy Friday. Saturday I met Richard, Norm, Mark and Jerry at Burnaby Lakes where Richard, Norm, Jerry and myself ran a fartlek: 3minutes on 2 minute jog, 2 minutes on 1 minute jog, 1 minute on 3 minute jog, and we did this 3 times. This was a get it done workout for Richard and myself so we sat in...

I was not sure what to think about this race in the weeks leading up to this point because I was not that confident that I would get into the meet. The other part of that is that it has been a while since I have raced on the track, let alone a big meet like this. I have spent most of the last 5...
WOLF PARADE: MODERN WORLD
My Past Week
After Sunday’s long run I felt pretty tired from the run and the preceding weeks of mileage. Come Monday though I was starting to feel better. My next focus was the workout scheduled on Wednesday. Mosley and I met at Bear Creek park for two sets of 8x 400 meters with 200 meter brisk jog between 400’s. The first set was to be run in 67’s and the second set in 65’s. We ran...
Two Tough Days!
So heading down to Stanley Park on Saturday to start our workout I was very anxious; not so much about doing the workout but I just wanted to get into it and see how it was going to go. Mentally it was draining me a bit the length of the workout and on top of all that the amount of mileage I have been putting in has been tiring me out. At the start of workouts and runs there is always that initial...
